Helen Doron, founder and CEO of Helen Doron® joins Italy as it celebrates 10 years of groundbreaking English as a Foreign Language (EFL) franchising.
The Helen Doron Educational Group began in 1985 as a small home-based business. Since then, the company has grown worldwide to become an international leader in children’s educational franchising, with 90 Master Franchisors and over 800 Learning Centres and Kindergartens in 34 countries across 5 continents.
Since the first Helen Doron English franchise was opened in Tuscany, Umbria in 2005 by Raffaele Forgione, thousands of children ages 3 months to 19 years have learnt English with the unique Helen Doron English pedagogic methodology and educational materials. This distinctive English as a Foreign Language (EFL) methodology allows children as young as three months to learn English. Innovative learning materials, which include digital media and the recent inclusion of advanced technologies such as smartphone, tablet and augmented reality applications enable all children to become proficient and comfortable speaking, reading and writing English.
Forgione, Italy’s National Coordinator and first Master Franchisor explains, “10 years ago Italian parents were skeptical about learning English at an early age. Today they recognize Helen Doron English as the only efficient and effective method available on the market and appreciate the great work done by the managers and teachers of the Italian Helen Doron English Learning Centres. Over 10.000 students are learning English with us and the growth is stable and steady; there is a fantastic opportunity to open new centres in free areas to satisfy the requests that come in every day from interested parents!”
Over the past 10 years, parents throughout Italy have brought their children to learn English with Helen Doron. The business has expanded considerably. Today, 13 Master Franchisors manage more than 90 Helen Doron English Learning Centres throughout 18 regions of Italy: Abruzzo and Molise, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Lombardia Northern and East, Milan and Pavia, Piemonte, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta, Puglia, San Marino and Le Marche, Sardinia, Sicily, Triveneto, Tuscany and Umbria.
